Jim Clayton is currently the Senior Pastor of CrossRoads Community Church in Palo Alto, California, and the district secretary for the Northern California District of the Church of the Nazarene.
He moved to the bay area in December 1999 with his wife, Nancy, and son Todd. He has two daughters, Annette Goodman of Livermore, California, and Karla Alarcio of Palo Alto, California.
For 35 years, Pastor Jim has been involved in pastoral ministries both as an associate and a senior pastor. He is a graduate of Northwest Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. He is an effective communicator with a gift of humor. Jim has a pastor's heart and has given much energy through the years developing programs for both new and maturing Christians. He is also committed to helping people deal with past hurts and failures and leading them to God who specializes in new beginnings.
Pastor Jim is committed to helping people learn to live out the biblical principle of loving God with all your heart, soul and mind and loving others as you love yourself. (Matthew 22:37) He believes that this is the foundation for all our relationships. Therefore he has dedicated his years of ministry to providing practical tools for people to know how to deepen their love for God and for people. He is committed to issues like Marriage Enrichment, positive parenting, intentional bridge building to unbelievers, nurturing Christians, and the development/use of spiritual gifts.

Nancy Clayton is currently the Associate Pastor at Crossroads Community Church in Palo Alto, California. She moved to the bay area in December 1999 with her husband, Jim, and son, Todd. She has two daughters, Annette Goodman of Livermore, California, and Karla Alarcio of Palo Alto, California.
Pastor Nancy has a teaching degree from Northwest Nazarene University and a Masters of Religion from Point Loma Nazarene University and is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. She is a good communicator, a dedicated mom, a gifted equipper of leaders, and is committed to helping people come to know Jesus as Savior and friend. She has served as a music specialist for K-12th grades in the public schools in Idaho, Kansas and California. Nancy has been the featured speaker at numerous women's retreats throughout California and has served as a district delegate to the Nazarene General Missionary Convention in Indianapolis. Presently she is serving as a Trustee of Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and as secretary for the Northern California Nazarene Sunday School Ministries Board.
Nancy believes that loving God with all your heart, soul and mind and loving others as you love yourself is the foundation for all relationships. She has dedicated her years for ministry to providing practical tools for people to know how to deepen their love for God and for others. Her goal is to "present yourself a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God.. " She seeks to "not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind." She believes, then "you will be able to discern what God's will is, His good, pleasing, perfect will." Romans 12:1-2.
